Villefranche-sur-Mer

Boat charter in Villefranche-sur-Mer with skipper

Villefranche-sur-Mer has one of the most beautiful bays in the Mediterranean, an amphitheatre of deep, sheltered water rimmed with ochre houses and closed off by the Cap-Ferrat peninsula. To charter a boat in Villefranche-sur-Mer is to set off from a postcard setting, minutes from Nice and Monaco, and reach within a few miles the finest anchorages on the French Riviera. With ALL YACHT, every outing is all-inclusive, led by a professional skipper who knows the bay, its currents and its moods, for a day planned down to the smallest detail.

The bay of Villefranche

Deep, calm and wide open to the sea, the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer is an exceptional stretch of water, one of the deepest on the coast, sheltered from the prevailing winds and bathed in soft light from morning to evening. You drop anchor there to swim, to lunch aboard or simply for the pleasure of floating opposite the tiered old town and the Saint-Elme citadel. An ideal starting point halfway between Nice and Cap-Ferrat, it lets you put to sea within minutes, with no transfer or waiting.

Coves, beaches and Cap-Ferrat

A short hop away, Passable beach and Paloma beach are among the finest of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, facing clear, shallow water. Rounding the peninsula, you discover the Saint-Hospice point and its chapel, the villas hidden in the pines, then the bay of Beaulieu-sur-Mer. Eastward, the route opens onto the cove of La Mala in Cap-d'Ail and Monaco; westward, onto Cap d'Antibes. Everything is close, and everything is savoured without haste, to the wind and your wishes.

Sample itineraries from Villefranche

A half-day is enough to string together Passable, Paloma and a tour of Cap-Ferrat, anchoring, swimming and lunch included. Over a full day, you push towards Monaco and La Mala, or west towards Cap d'Antibes, Cannes and the Lérins islands. In high season, the great cruise to Saint-Tropez and the bay of Pampelonne is an exceptional day out. And at dusk, the Sunset formula turns the bay into a golden tableau, a glass of rosé in hand.

What you see from the sea

From the water, Villefranche-sur-Mer reveals its stepped old town, its Saint-Elme citadel and its harbour, then the long wooded silhouette of Cap-Ferrat and its discreet properties. It is an intimate, unspoilt Riviera, far from the crowded quays, discovered at the slow pace of a boat and its skipper, in the wake of the finest yachts on the coast.
